Tridon Oil Pressure Switch - Controls warning features for the oil pressure systemYour engine's oil pressure switch keeps a watchful eye on the pressure of your engine's lubrication system. If the switch picks up a drop in oil pressure indicating a leak, blockage or low oil level, it will actuate a circuit and depending on the application sound an alarm, trigger an LED light or display a warning on your cars dash board. Whilst the ECU is able to do all the clever calculations and literally operate your car, it relies on a myriad of switches and sensors to transmit all of the necessary information it requires in order to allow the ECU to do its job including oil pressure, fuel pressure, coolant temperature, A/C pressure, power steering pressure and even fuel temperature.
